Aloo Matar Recipe Ingredients

  • Potatoes ( Peeled and Diced ) … 1/2 kg
  • Peas … 1 Cup
  • Red Chilly Powder … 1 tsp
  • Salt … To taste
  • Turmeric … 1/4 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder … 1/4 tsp
  • Onions ( Chopped ) … 1/2 Cup
  • Tomatoes ( Diced ) … 1/2 Cup
  • Oil … 1/4 Cup
  • Curry Leaves … 3
  • Cumin Seeds … 1 tsp
  • Garlic Paste … 1 tsp
  • Corriander Leaves ( Chopped ) … 1/4 Cup

Aloo Matar Recipe Cooking Steps

  1.  Heat oil. Add in the curry leaves and cumin seeds till they pop.
  2.  Add in the onions and fry till transparent.
  3.  Next toss in the garlic paste and tomatoes. Cook on slow heat for 5 minutes till tomatoes are soft and tender.
  4.  Add the red chilly powder, salt, turmeric and potatoes and let it cook on slow heat for 15 minutes.
  5.  Finally add the peas. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6.  Sprinkle garam masala powder on top.
  7.  Serve hot. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
